This was a drawing that I hung onto for years, not knowing what to do with it. It was designed for Heavy Metal... but it was scrapped due to the limitations of cel animation detail.

So, I designed a less line-heavy robot for the film (and a less Japanese styled one as well... they hated the Manga look), and held onto this for myself.

I figured I'd color it in.
