3D Art > More 3D Art

Outside of the cat itself, I worked on pretty much all other items on his person. I actually helped to design his costume in some areas. The gun in his hands was one of my paint jobs as well. This guy was pretty involved and a bevvy of people contributed. Almost every material known to science was referenced in his shaders.

At tippett, we were not given a particular material shader, such as metal. we start with a single shader, called 'vital' and we get inside and rewrite a lot of the parameters to create the material we are looking for. We're not writing shaders per se, but heavily getting under the hood and editing them. So, instead of just painting maps, we had a more involved position in material development.
